The Devil's Advocate Movie (1997)

I saw this movie when I was a kid. I did not understand what the movie was about, but I remember being horrified with some of the scenes and I felt questioned after I finish watching it. I guess that's what happen when your a kid and you watches movies out of your content..hehe
Anyway, I rented this movie on Netflix so I can watch for the second time to make some sense out of it and enlighten myself about the message.

Here is the description from netflix:
When charismatic lawyer John Milton (Al Pacino) recruits the successful young attorney Kevin Lomax (Keanu Reeves) to his high-powered Manhattan firm, both Kevin and his wife (Charlize Theron) find life on Park Avenue seductive. That is, until strange things begin to happen. By the time the pair begins questioning John's plans and who -- or what -- Kevin actually works for, it might be too late in director Taylor Hackford's creepy thriller.

I have to say this movie is a smart scary film in a way they portray the devils walking with us in everyday life pretending to be just another human being with the nature of deceiving people in any way possible. When I first saw the film as a kid, I already felt creeped out, even now that I have more understanding of the movie. While watching this, a lot of explicit visual message of deceptions, and insidious had come to my senses just from assumptions(probably from other horror movies I saw). I think I'm more careful and sharper of whom I give my trust since anything can happen.

Overall, The movie is really good. One of the best mind bending Psychological Supernatural thriller. Actors are definitely great especially AL Pacino with the Speech close to the end. Story lines and Plot are Genius. Special effects are not that great, but definitely left some negative imaginations in my mind.

Kung Fu Panda 2 Movie Review

Kung Fu Panda 2 is awesome!!!..I saw the movie in 3D this past weekend. The animation is awesomely great. I enjoyed watching the first one when it came out, so I definitely cannot miss the second movie. The Kung-Fu action is really cool and Exhilirating. I was so into it, a job well done. Lots of Kung-fu action and good plot with the Villain.
Comparing it to the first movie, I didn't think it was nearly as funny as the first one, but I was satisfied with the outcome and there's definitely good humor funny scenes. I mean this is a movie for kids, but at some point it felt like it was too deep for kids to comprehend that there was more about the past and the main character's back story, but the animation makes it easy to understand. I think a lot kids would just be paying attention to those action and funny scenes.
Overall, I enjoyed it and never a boring a scene. Will be looking forward to the next one. Rate it 9 out of 10.

"Insidious" Movie 2011

I saw the Movie on its opening Day, I just didn't have the time to blog about it. I have to say its one of the most scariest movie I have seen since "Drag Me To Hell", which is a mix of Comedy and Horror and Exorcist movies.. I thought "Paranormal Activity" was not scary at all in my opinion, but this one seems to just put me in the edge of my seat. I had trouble sleeping for at least three days just because of this movie.
Scenes that gave me trouble was the "Old Lady since Childhood Pics" and the "faces on windows".
I never really like watching "SAW" because of the gory and torture scenes because it sickens me. Any Ghost, spirit related or Paranormal movies I would love to go see and judge how frightening it is. Its actually my favorite Genre. I guess the Combination from both Directors of "Paranormal Activity" and "Saw" makes the movie really intense. The movie seems to be original with their idea or maybe it is. I don't recall any haunting movies that involves going into the other "Realm"..maybe "Poltergeist" and "Silent Hill". I probably just have to do some research with those kind of films.

After watching this, I feel like I want to try that "Astral Projection" as they portray in the movie. I wonder if it really is like that when you are traveling without your body that it leads you to a parallel world or another realm. I might google some workshops in NYC if there is any.

Ip Man 2008 - The Master of Bruce Lee

The Real IP Man..

I saw this movie on netflix like twice already since I really like the action sequence and also the story of course since it gave me new perspective in life... This has to be one of my favorite movie of all time.
The cinematography is awesome and fight choreography is amazing.

I haven't really watched any martial arts film for a long time, and I'm a big fan at heart. I guess in my mind there's really not worth anything seeing nowadays since everything is just "build up hyped" except for the old ones which are more better with plots and storyline. I've been hooked on horror and thriller movies lately.

Check out the trailer:

Anyways, I saw this movie on netflix, supposedly this movie came out on 2008.

here's the description from netflix;

An occupying Japanese general (Hiroyuki Ikeuchi) challenges Chinese men to duels so he can prove the superiority of the Japanese. Ip Man (Donnie Yen) -- a Chinese martial arts master forced to work in the mines -- refuses to fight, but can resist for only so long. Revisit the early days of Ip Man, who gained later fame as an early trainer of Bruce Lee, in director Wilson Yip's action-packed biopic set during the Sino-Japanese War.

I also heard that he was the trainer of Bruce Lee. Well, since im a fan of Bruce Lee, I got to check this out...LOL..he's the best, we need to check out who his trainer is..hehe

I think this is the movie that you should watch.

Mother

I saw a lot of movies during the holidays and breaks added. I haven't really got a chance to blog about them. I even signed up for netflix. Its very Convenient to have netflix so you don't have to travel and go to a video store if your feeling lazy or whatever the case is.
Anyway I rented this movie from Blockbuster during the holidays, called "Mother". Its a Korean movie I found near the New Release section. I don't really watch this type of Genre(Drama &Thriller type) but after reading the short sypnosis, it seems to have a good plot. So I gave it a shot since I have all the time in the world to watch so many movies in my three weeks of break. I have to say, it was very good, the ending wasn't exactly the way I want it to end but it was good. At least they were able to find out what she was looking for and able to solve the problem that she's not ready for.. Its amazing how a mother would break any boundaries and limitations for her child.
From watching this movie, I have to say Truth must comes out whether you can't handle it or not. It will set you free, but it will make you miserable at first.
Check out the trailer.

Here's a little info about the movie I found on Netflix:
A murder rocks a South Korean town and suspicion quickly falls on a reclusive, mentally challenged -- and alibi-free -- young man (Bin Won). When an inept public defender botches the boy's case, his mother (Hye-ja Kim) sets out to prove her son's innocence. Acclaimed director Joon-ho Bong (Memories of Murder) explores the lengths a mother will go to protect her child in this atmospheric crime thriller.
